7 Beauty Game Changers

Sunday’s should be dedicated to pure pampering. As I write this post I am sitting with a face-mask spread all over my face and my hair in a messy bun, I feel as though I am in heaven. Bliss!!

Having worked in a beauty salon for nearly 6 years now, I have been completely spoilt with amazing products; outstanding treatments and life savor therapists. Along the way I have picked up my fair share of beauty tips and have found products I simply could not live without. This post is dedicated to products, amazing beauty inventions and compulsory treatments… 7 real beauty game changers. Get on board!

1. Dermalogica Precleanse [From £34]
I used to find that standard cleansers made my skin feel lovely, but didn’t actually do the job as I was still seeing make up on my towel in the bathroom. This little beauty wonder removes ALL traces of make up, oil and dirt including waterproof mascara. Precleanse prepares and cleans your skin ready for your prescribed cleanser. It ensures you are sparkling clean ready for appropriate treatment after. Formulated without artificial colours and fragrances and can suit most skin conditions. Worth every penny!

2. Tangle Teaser from [£10.60]
I have naturally curly/ wavy hair and regardless of the amount of conditioner I use, my hair is always a knotty mess after a shower. I used to spend 10 minutes in agony attempting to brush my wet hair,  that was until the tangle teaser was introduced to me. The sublime invention can detangle hair, pain free in minutes. It is amazing. I am not sure how it works, but it's a dream. My beloved teaser even came on holiday with me this year and managed to tame my beach hair within minutes.

3. Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant [From £41.30]
My number one exfoliant and one of my favourite products. It is a fantastic exfoliating powder that activates upon contact with water. Your skin instantly feels smoother and looks brighter after use, can be used on all skin types.

4. Mac Lipsticks [From £15.50]
The right lipstick will always complete an outfit and my favourite brand is Mac. My faithful mac lipsticks come everywhere with me. Always ensure your lips are in pristine condition before wearing a lipstick, the biggest beauty crime is having bitsy lipstick smeared over your chapped lips. Perfect preparation for a night out is to wear a thick treatment lip balm a couple of days before your event (such as Carmex) you will then find your application of lipstick looks a million times better and lasts longer as your lips will be fully nourished and healthy.

5. Bio Sculpture Gels [Prices vary]
You are never fully dressed until your nails are done. I started having bio-sculpture gels approximately three years ago now and I have not looked back once. Gels are instant drying with a non-chip finish and are applied to the natural nail to strengthen, without damage. Most stockholder salons have a wide variety of colours and the nail treatment can last between 2-4 weeks. Ideal for holidays!

6. Crystal Clear Microdermabrasian Facials [From £30]
Crystal Clear Microdermabrasion facials are a deep exfoliation treatment combining the use of crystals and vacuum suction. Microdermabrasion is the perfect treatment for total skin resurfacing. Deluxe treatments with a gorgeous hydrating mask are available or you can just have a half an hour intense correction treatment focusing primarily on areas of concern. The results are noticeable after just one treatment, but courses are often advised.

7. Jane Iredale Purepressed Powder [Prices Vary]
Jane Iredale may not be the most popular high street brand, but is an amazing mineral make up. The finish is flawless and even has the ability to disguise scarring. The purepressed is a makeup bag essential and my friends now refer to it as the “magic powder” which says it all! You can easily build  your coverage for nights out, but always ensure you have a professional colour match before you buy.
